The main activity of the laboratory is microbiological control of product quality (sterility or microbiological purity); determination of the antimicrobial action of drugs; the effectiveness of antimicrobial preservatives; determination of growth, selective and diagnostic properties of nutrient media using test microorganisms; microbiological monitoring of the working environment.
The laboratory has a technical base, including the necessary test equipment and measuring instruments, working standard samples, reagents, standard nutrient media, a working collection of museum cultures (bacteria and fungi of the III-IV pathogenicity groups). The laboratory is licensed to carry out activities in the field of the use of microorganisms of III and IV degree of potential danger.
